Connect an AI assistant (MCP)

Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or Cursor to Hisabche over the MCP protocol.

What MCP is in Hisabche

MCP is a standard protocol AI assistants use to connect to software. With it you can ask your assistant which customer owes money, how much of a product is in stock, or to find an invoice.

The assistant works through the same public API of Hisabche: the same key, the same access and the same rules. It has no separate way into your data, and sees only the business the key belongs to.

Connecting an assistant

The connection uses an API key that you create and can revoke at any time. Limit the key to what the assistant needs — for example, only reading customers and invoices.

The connection address is shown on the Developers page, in the “AI assistants” section.

  1. On the Developers page, create an API key with the access you need.
  2. In your assistant, add an HTTP MCP connection and enter the connection address.
  3. Put the key in that connection as an Authorization header with a Bearer value.
  4. Ask the assistant to list its tools; it sees only the tools the key allows.

Safety and human approval

Reading, and low-risk actions such as adding a customer, are carried out directly. Actions that move money or stock or cannot be undone — issuing an invoice, confirming, fulfilling and cancelling an order — are not carried out when the assistant asks.

Such a request waits in the approval queue until a manager or the owner approves or rejects it inside Hisabche. On approval the action is done in that person’s name, once. A request left unanswered for a day can no longer be approved.

An assistant cannot approve on your behalf, see another business, or reach the database directly.

Available tools

Searching and reading customers, products, warehouse stock, invoices, payments, orders and the customer debt report; creating and editing a customer; placing an order; and requesting an invoice or a change of an order’s state.

Every list returns at most 50 rows per page. Each call the assistant makes is recorded in that key’s usage log.
